The Northern Israeli Tech Fund
About us
NIT is a private impact fund, powered by volunteers and comprised of professionals with deep expertise across all key sectors essential for supporting technological ventures - entrepreneurs, legal experts, economists, engineers, media and HR specialists, and others.
We are committed to fostering sustainable and thriving communities in towns, kibbutzim and moshavim in Northern Israel, providing financial and professional support to technology-based ventures and startups.
Our mission is to cultivate a technological ecosystem of startups, ventures and service providers among northern residents.
We aspire to follow in the footsteps of pioneers such as Edmond James de Rothschild and Sir Moses Montefiore, who understood that sustainable settlement requires the backing of a community to create and maintain a stable and advanced source of income for an enduring future.
The opportunity
For decades, the business community and state entities have recognized opportunities to bolster Northern Israel through technological and sustainable business initiatives. The consequences of the October 7th events and of the COVID-19 crisis in the Israeli and global economies underscore the importance of this approach.
Israeli and Jewish Solidarity
The Israeli and Jewish spirit of solidarity demonstrated during the recent crisis, can be harnessed to create long-term business and technological growth engines.
Allocating Funds
Financing technological ventures in targeted regions of the country during a global funding crisis attracts entrepreneurs to these areas.
Maximizing Resources
Vacant real estate spaces, can serve as solid foundations for business and technological development, requiring only basic infrastructure during the early stages.
Funding Technological Ventures
NIT aims to fund business ventures that meet three essential criteria

Regional Focus
Ventures operating in Northern Israel.
key officers and employees residing in the region.

Technology-Based
Ventures must be technology-based, viable, and sustainable businesses.
Local Engagement
Funding should be allocated to cover expenses incurred through services provided by residents of the northern district, including graphic design, software development, accounting, specialized consulting and more.
Our Business Model
NIT’s venture funding entitles it to equity, while most of the fund’s investments and revenues are directed toward achieving its objectives.
To enhance the success of each venture, NIT assigns a dedicated consultant to serve on the venture's advisory board.
Funding and investment decisions are guided by a strategic alignment of Zionist values and business imperatives, based on recommendations by an expert team of consultants and singed by NIT’s Investment Committee.
